My name is Ruben Rodriguez, a geek samurai passionate about technology!

I’m a Senior Cloud & Platform Engineer with 7+ years of experience building and operating scalable, reliable cloud platforms and enabling strong developer experience through modern platform engineering practices.

My focus is on designing internal platforms and cloud architectures that help product teams ship faster and more reliably by standardising infrastructure, improving CI/CD workflows, and providing secure, observable and self-service cloud environments.

I work primarily with cloud-native technologies and the CNCF ecosystem, and have hands-on experience designing and operating Kubernetes-based platforms, containerised workloads, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and observability stacks, and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

I care deeply about operational excellence and reliability, and regularly apply SRE principles such as automation, service ownership, error budgets and observability to improve platform stability and developer productivity.

I’m an open-source enthusiast and long-time Linux user, passionate about modern cloud architecture, platform engineering and building tools that make developers’ lives easier.

Outside of work, I enjoy self-hosting projects and experimenting with 3D printing.
